According to our latest advices from Hong Kong, the

total of Notes issued there amounts to

against which coin is held earmarked to extent

In addition we have lodged with the Crown Agents for the

Colonies Securities to the value of 290,000.-, of which we

propose to withdraw £25,000.- over-deposited, viz. £25,000.-

Bengal Nagpur Railway Company 31% Debentures. This will leave

Securities in their hands value 265,000.-

We should esteem it a favour if you would give the

Becessary instructions to the Crown Agents for the Colonies,

advising us in due course.
